About the event

It's time to think about the upcoming spring growing season and the Door County Seed Library is ready to supply you with free open-pollinated vegetable, herb, flower, and native seeds. Beginning March 16, 2026 the seeds will be re-stocked and ready for distribution through the Baileys Harbor, Egg Harbor, Forestville, Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island branches of the Door County Library system. Whether you are a beginning gardener or an enthusiast looking for local seed varieties donated by seasoned gardeners, we have something for you. Stop by during regular library hours and check out your free seeds. The goal of the Door County Seed Library (DCSL) is to help people become successful gardeners and seed savers. The DCSL helps to increase our sustainability and capacity to grow wholesome food, and foster a culture of sharing.
