MAY 2022

Door County Master Gardeners Association has two recorded presentations that are worth viewing if you missed seeing them live!
  • "Awesome Annuals with Pollinator Potential" by Mark Dwyer
  • Prairie Plants for Urban and Suburban Gardens by Neil Diboll
The links to both of these DCMGA presentations are found on the DCMGA website  ( DCMGA.org ) on the Education Page

Neil Diboll gave us a great list of native plants that could be used in home gardens. We have questions about how to actually use the plants in our own spaces. The links below will give you some ideas about native plant garden design.
  • The Wild Ones website includes a variety of programs about garden design using native plants.  The following will take you to the site  https://nativegardendesigns.wildones.org/.
  • This is a link to a program for those who want to plant natives in smaller gardens https://wildseedproject.net/2016/01/balcony-gardens-natives-in-pots-for-urbanites-and-people-on-the-move/
We have many members who have an interest in developing "native" gardens.  Please let us know if you find these sites helpful and  if you know of other  web sites and / or programs that you have used and found interesting. We will share the info with others.
