About the event
The arrival of spring ephemeral wildflowers is a spectacular event in Door County. Gardeners and others who love the outdoors look forward to the glorious display carpeting our forests here on the peninsula, heralding a growing season full of beauty in our wild areas. Join us at Crossroads April 28, 2026, from 6:30-8:00pm, to hear distinguished naturalist, educator, and writer Charlotte Lukes describe the botanical bounty as she shows us stunning photos from her archives.
This program, which is co-sponsored by Door County Master Gardeners and Wild Ones-Door Peninsula, will feature many close-ups of the flowers, and images of habitats, leaves, fruits and seeds. Each species will include the common name as well as the scientific genus and species. Attendees will enjoy an intermission with treats. The program is free and open to the public.
