To fulfill our mission, we offer numerous educational opportunities, including our Lecture Series and Growing Together Series as well as many other educational events.

The Door County Master Gardeners offer two educational series: the Lecture Series and Growing Together Series. Both series are free and open to the public.

Lecture Series

Winter Education Series 

These presentations are usually held at 6:30pm at Crossroads at Big Creek during the winter. Presenters come from all over the Midwest and are experts in their specific field of horticulture. The programs are free and open to the public. Refreshments and Q&A follow the presentations in the Collins Learning Center, Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay.

Growing Together
Gardening Education Series 

Offered at 1:30pm on the second Monday, September through May, at Crossroads at Big Creek. The programs cover a variety of gardening topics and are followed by refreshments and an opportunity to socialize in the Collins Learning Center, Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay.

    Join Master Gardener Sue Kunz for a “guided” tour through The Garden Door on a wintery day. Discover the beauty of a garden in winter, it’s quiet and understated, the garden becomes a study in form, light and stillness.
