About the event
Do you like growing plants, but aren't able to have an in-ground garden? Container gardening offers flexibility, accessibility, and control, allowing you to grow fresh food, enhance aesthetics, and reduce pests by using pots to control soil, manage water, and move plants for optimal sunlight, making gardening possible in small spaces like balconies or patios with less weeding and easier cleanup. Lisa Johnson, Dane County Horticultural Educator, discusses containers, soil, lighting, water and plant choice in her webinar.
The Growing Together series of educational programs are free and open to the public and will provide information on relevant gardening topics for all levels of gardeners, from beginners to experienced. The selected programs will present research-based gardening techniques that are in alignment with the education requirements of the Wisconsin Extension Master Gardener program.
