About the event
Even though it is too early to sow seeds inside, you can sow seeds outdoors with the winter sowing method utilizing milk jugs to create mini-greenhouses. Winter sowing is particularly useful for starting native plants which require cold stratification. Resulting in stronger, hardened-off seedlings, winter sowing is a cost-effective way to garden. This technique requires no indoor grow lights and saves space, as the container acts as a miniature environment that expose seeds to necessary cold stratification and natural conditions, allowing seeds to germinate when the conditions are right.
