The Garden Door was selected to be an All-America Selections (AAS) Display Garden beginning the summer of 2025.

AAS is the oldest independent testing organization of flower and edible varieties in North America. After a full season of anonymous trialing by volunteer horticulture professionals, only the top garden performers are given the AAS Winner award for their superior performance.

AAS Display Gardens provide the public with an opportunity to view the newest AAS Winners in an attractive, well-maintained setting.

Awards are given in four categories:

Seed Ornamentals

Non-seed Ornamentals

Edibles

Perennials

What is an AAS Garden?
Nearly 200 botanical gardens, arboretums, colleges, universities, cooperative extensions, etc. across the country that display recent All-America Selections (AAS) Winners. The purpose of the AAS Display Gardens is to showcase the most recent AAS winners and educate the public about why they are top-performing varieties. By seeing the plants in a garden setting, visitors can better understand how they perform in real-world conditions, including factors like sunlight, soil, and climate.
